Healthy fish oil

Generally speaking, people who eat more fat would tend to suffered from heart disease, however, the research about Greenlanders reveals the opposite result. The Greenlanders consumed a lot of fish oil which is now proven to be the key cause of being away from heart diseases.

As we know, more fat one consumed, more frequencies of heart disease would occur. And, why fish oil does the special effect? Actually, the essential fatty acids(EFA's) are main ingredient of fat and they are grouped into two distinct families, omega-6 EFAs and the omega-3 EFAs. The function of the two families are apparently different, for example, omega 6 fatty acids promote the production of the "bad" eicosanoids, which is a type of hormone and responsible for cellular inflammation of the body, while long chain omega 3 fatty acids do just the opposite.

And by the square, the fish oil contains a lot of omega-3 fatty acids, such as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which are both long chain omega-3 fatty acids. So, the fish oil works well in Greenlanders’ bodies.

Now, the function of EPA and DHA in fish oil is emphasized by most people. The US National Institutes of Health has recognized the benefits of DHA and EPA and has published Recommended Daily Intakes of these important fatty acids. They recommend a daily intake of 650 mg of DHA and EPA, and 4.44 g/day of linoleic acid.

It must be a good idea to supplement your diet with fish oil, because that would bring you healthy heart.
